Hello Parents and Guardians of Herndon Magnet School Students, this is Tom Thomas, Principal of Herndon Magnet School with Herndon Highlights for the week of May 12, 2025.
• Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful Herndon moms. I hope your day is great!
• The EOY Pep Rally for grades 3-8 will be tomorrow at 9:00 AM. Please allow us to get all the students in the gym before entering.
• The Middle School Choir, under the direction of Mr. William Parsons, will have their end-of-the-year performance tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the auditorium.
• There will be a Lady Hawks Volleyball Parents’ meeting at 7:00 PM in the gym tomorrow.
• Kindergarten Commencement will start at 9:00 AM in the auditorium on Tuesday, May 13. Seating is limited and reserved for adults. No school-aged children from Herndon and/or any private, public, charter, home school, etc. may attend this commencement.
• 7th Grade will have their “Hall of Heroes” at 6:00 PM in the gym on Tuesday, May 13.
• 8th Grade Commencement will start at 10:00 AM in the auditorium on Wednesday, May 15. Seating is limited and reserved for adults. No school-aged children from Herndon and/or any private, public, charter, home school, etc. may attend this commencement.
• The last day for students is Thursday, May 15.
• Parents/Guardian, if your student has medicine in the school office, please pick it up by May 20.
